Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she took flute lessons as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. She managed to make it on her student stipend and work part-time jobs. Lennox did not feel satisfied with the level of her performance compared with others at the Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox was a flute player in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. She quit the band prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. The singer was the primary vocalist for The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and the year 1980. As part of this group, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they would form The Eurythmics Pop duo. After that, Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva that came out in 1992. It became a huge hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in the month of November. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a collection of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... The album is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox (born December 25, 1954) is a Scottish musician and political activist. At the end of the 70s, Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while part in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. Lennox started her own solo music career in 1992, with an album titled Diva. It featured many popular songs including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and Why. Medusa the studio album released in 1995 has cover versions of songs like No MoreI I Love Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six album compilations and studio albums.
